Rose gets a visit from one of her sisters, whom is blind. She is now facing life as a blind woman and soon behaves like a helpless child to get Rose to take care of her permanently. This goes on while a garage sale is taking place with the girls selling items they would rather not get rid of.

Dorothy: No, what?
Sophia: Poverty!

| Dorothy: Listen, Ma, we cannot afford a new TV. We're using the household money to repair the roof and repave the driveway.
Sophia: Great. And what am I supposed to do when every other old lady on the block is watching Cosby?
Dorothy: Well, you can sit in the new driveway and hope that an amusing black family drops by.

Dorothy: Just sit and watch for an amusing black family to walk by.
Refers to The Cosby Show with Bill Cosby. His show was about a family and was comedic in style.
