The House Of Eliott was a slickly produced BBC drama set in the 1920s. While it was ostensibly a costume drama, It featured snappy dialogue, often soap-opera like storylines, glamourous period sets and above all, lots and lots of gorgeous clothes, making it a hit on both sides of the Atlantic.
Bea and Evie, daughters of a gentleman, are left penniless when their father dies. They also discover that he had an illegitimate son. After some trevails, their home made dresses attract attention, and they open their own design company, the House of Eliott. There's plenty more trouble along the way... will the girls prevail?
