The boys give testimony against Butch Long in court which sends him to prison. He vows to kill Stan and Ollie when he gets out, a vow they take seriously as they decided to go way out west. They also decide to take a passenger with them to help with gas money. A woman answers their ad, unaware that she is the girlfriend of Butch. Butch manages to escape and makes his way to his girlfriend's home.
