The character of Pew is based on the character of Blind Man Pew from
Treasure Island but has a bigger lifespan for
The Legends of Treasure Island. Although not the main villain of the programme, he is the boss of Long John Silver and his pirates. For most episodes, he stays in the shadows while Silver is the main villain.
Pew, a rat, is a sorcerer. He may appear to be blind but don’t underestimate him. He will go to any lengths to achieve his needs, maybe even murder.
For some reason,
Rob Rackstraw who voices him is not credited on the end titles for either series.
