The famous scene of the girls stuck in the shower as the water rises, almost spelled the end for Lucille. As she dived to the bottom of the shower she discovered she could not rise back up. Viv realizing she was struggling, grabbed Lucille by the roots of her hair. Viv then began doing all of the dialog, including Lucille's lines since she was still struggling to breathe. The distressed look on Lucille's face was indeed real.
