|
Marcie and Thomas venture deep into the heart of the excavation pits, Pendragon and her followers in close pursuit. The two are eventually forced to split up just as they uncover a huge underground complex, which contains the secret of The Behemoth, a large human-dependent battle computer.
Pendragon intends for Thomas to operate The Behemoth, Thomas has other plans and forces Pendragon into the machine. Above ground, Marcie tries to warn her teacher of the dangers when the abrupt rising of The Behemoth and the return of an old enemy signals that time may be running out.
