When Michael is lost in an oil rig fire, Kim decides to take care of his daughter Alisa. Nikki doesn't think she's ready to handle that kind of responsibility, so she calls her birth mother, Yolanda, to come take Alisa. Kim is upset, but she goes to visit her with Stevie and T, eventually getting trapped in an elevator together. In the meantime, the professor wants to prove he's not in love with Nikki by going on another date with Toni.
