Richard Braling: I'll be damned.
Charles Braling: I hope so.

Analysis
Changes from the short story:
* Charles Braling is established as not just an inventor in the episode, but a robotics expert. This allows the addition of several clockwork robots, and removes the character of a gardener from the short story.
* St. John Court, the lawyer, does not appear in the short story.
* Richard's death is exceedingly more graphic in the short story, where he is embalmed while still alive.
