The Salon is a reality show which was shown on channel four in the United Kingdom. The series was also broadcast live nine hours a day on satelitte channel E4. The staff were all qualified stylists and beauticians. Members of the public could call the show and book an appointment to receive either a haircut or a beauty treatment. Paul Merritt was the manager on both series. The series also featured celebrities as clients.
Halfway through the second series employees from the first series were given the opportunity to return to the show to face a public vote against the second series staff to form The Salon dream team. The Salon was based in Balham, South London for the first series and in Piccadilly, London for the second series.
