"The Starlet" Summary |

Ten young aspiring actresses live together in Los Angeles, in a house once owned by Marilyn Monroe, and compete to become "The Starlet" (as well as for a talent deal with the WB, a one-year contract with 3 Arts Entertainment, and a role on One Tree Hill). They are judged by casting director Joseph Middleton, actress Vivica A. Fox, and Academy-Award-winning actress Faye Dunaway.
Each episode finds the contestants being instructed and guided by various actors and acting coaches and then competing in a themed acting challenge for the luxurious Diva Suite, along with other special prizes. All of the hopefuls then participate in a screen test viewed by the judges, and the worst are dismissed by Faye Dunaway with the show's catchphrase: "Don't call us. We'll call you." |
