The Time Tunnel: The Day the Sky Fell In

From the West of 1910, the duo travel forward thirty one years, to December 6, 1941. They've landed near the Pearl Harbor Naval Base hours before a Japanese attack will sink most of the Pacific Fleet. Among the officers stationed on the base: Lieutenant Commander Tony Newman, Senior! Episode Quotes
Tasaka: What are you doing here? Who are you?
Doug: We're tourists. Just sightseeing.
Tasaka: Nobody sightsees inside the Japanese consulate.

Tasaka: All this talk of time tunnels and children. Meaningless babble.
Doug: We gave you a glimpse into the future, but you won't accept it because it destroys your dream of world empire.

Jerry: The Japanese are going to attack in less than half an hour. We can't just stand here and let this happen.
Anne: Jerry, it did happen.
Jerry: They're all going to be killed.
Swain: It was in 1941, Jerry.
Jerry: This isn't just a picture. It's a real thing happening, isn't it?
Kirk: That's right. We're looking back into time to what's happening.
Jerry: Then let's try to do something about it.
Kirk: Jerry, some day you'll realize that all men have to live with their past. It can't be changed.

Lieutenant Commander Tony Newman, Sr.: You said you knew me a long time ago. And that you've always remembered.
Tony: My name is... is Tony Newman.
Lieutenant Commander Tony Newman, Sr.: Tony Newman. I know you. I know you as well as I know my own son.
Tony: I... I am your son.
Lieutenant Commander Tony Newman, Sr.: It's good to know my little boy will survive.

Episode Goofs
When Tony and Doug leave the consulate, Tony tells Doug that he was seven years old during the attack. However, in "Rendezvous with Yesterday," it was established that Tony was born in 1938. That would make him only three years old during the Pearl Harbor attack, set in 1941.

Much of the early footage the Project team watches through the tunnel viewer is in black-and-white.

Tony says that his father is a Lieutenant Commander. However, his shoulder bars indicate he is a full Commander.

Doug and Tony are abducted at night. However, in the next scene at Project Tic-Toc, the scientists zoom in on shots of the Japanese fleet during the day.

When Tony is hit by falling debris, he lands on his back on the right side of the street.

When the base team home in on him, he's now laying on his face.

When Tony wakes up, he's still on his face on the left side of the street. A ladder next to him has changed position, and a girder that was formerly there has disappeared.

When Doug and Tony turn to watch the naval communications center blow up, stock footage of a barn is used to show the explosion.
