This show evolved after Tyra had a regular slot on Oprah. When her appearances caused the youth ratings to go through the roof, Tyra decided it was time to do her own show to cater for a younger audience. Tyra has been an inspirational mentor to the girls on America’s Next Top Model, a show she created and produces.

Growing up in glamorous LA, Tyra battled with her own self-image as a tall and underdeveloped teen taunted by her peers. But with a strong family support system she cultivated the self-confidence and can-do attitude that later made her such a success in the cutthroat world of fashion. She was the first black model to appear on the covers of Sports Illustrated and GQ magazines and has gone on to become a passionate spokeswoman on issues of race and body image in the entertainment industry.

Tyra brings her unique, no-nonsense personality to this multi-topic show focusing on the dreams, hopes and challenges of young women today. The show will feature weight, image and fashion advice, celebrity interviews and music from some of the hottest acts around. Tyra kicks off her new show by giving one young woman an emotional ‘Makeover for Life’ and reveals the ‘before’ versions of her own retouched modelling photos, going on to celebrate natural beauty with her audience members as they all remove their makeup together!
