Dibley is selected to appear on Songs Of Praise. Many of the locals try out when Geraldine tries to set up a church choir but not everyone is successful in their auditions. When Geraldine meets the show's director she falls for him whilst David takes a shine to show's female camera woman. Alice has problems reading the church sermon and Geraldine and David are both disappointed when they find out that the objects of their desire are a couple.
