When Hobart, a young man that the Walton family befriended when he lived in a boy's orphanage in a nearby town comes back to the mountain, he starts to brag about how he is going to be a world famous pitcher. Everything looks promising for that to come true, until he falls out of a tree house and hurts his arm. However, things work out for him, because he stays and becomes the activity coordinator at the same orphanage he called home when he was younger.
