Recap

When the newspaper that John Boy works for shuts its doors, one of his bosses offer to sell him an old printing press, so he can start his own country paper. However, in order to pay for the press, John Boy would have to find a full time job, and eventually moves into a boarding house near school to save time in driving from Walton's Mountain. And to make matters worse, John Boy feels that one of his professors is pressuring him into concentrating on writing his novel. When his job at a nearby bus station ends suddenly, John Boy is unable to buy the printing press, due to only having half of the money needed, which forces him to move back home. However, when he arrives back on the mountain, John Boy is surprised to find the printing press waiting for him in the shed, the down payment made by his professor for him. With his spirits high, John Boy begins publishing the Blue Ridge Chronicle...
