When Hilary, a relative of the Baldwin sisters comes to the mountain, John Boy gets excited at the opportunity of getting her opinion on what Hitler’s actions in Germany, since she lives over there and is married a German business owner. However, he soon becomes frustrated when Hilary refuses to answer any of his questions. It soon appears that the reason why she refuses to be interviewed for John Boy’s paper is because of how she was running from the violence that Hitler’s troops are starting. Soon realizing that she can’t run from what is happening in Europe, Hilary decides to return to her husband in Germany to face the violence head on.
