|
When an old beau of Grandma comes to visit, he passes on his condolences about Grandpa’s death. The two then begin getting close again, having shared similar experiences in losing loved ones and having health problems and start dating, much to Elizabeth’s shock. When he begins making plans to begin a life with Esther, she tells that while enjoying his company; she doesn’t want to leave her life and family on the mountain. While this is going on, Corabeth tells Jim Bob that the government plans on starting a gasoline rationing program. Thinking of ways to have cars run on something other than gas, he teams up with Yancy to distill alcohol that is safe to fuel cars with.
