As Jason struggles to complete his composition for his final exam, his family continually interrupts his work. When he goes to the Baldwin’s home in an attempt to find peace and quiet, the sisters are having a discussion about who should be entrusted with the recipe after they’re gone. At this point, they suggest the mountain should organize a celebration to honor the pioneers who first came to the mountain. Things get sticky when the sisters and Ike find documents that show each of their ancestors were the first to settle on Walton’s mountain, causing Ike and the Baldwin’s to want change the name of the mountain. Luckily, things get settled when Grandma brings out an old family journal showing once and for all that the Walton’s were the first to arrive on the mountain. After this, the Baldwin’s decide to have the celebration at the Walton home. Meanwhile, when Jason is able to finish his musical piece, his professor isn’t thrilled that it has a mountain sound to it. The professor then changes his mind on it when he arrives for the celebration and praises Jason for the job he did on it.
