Touching Evil stars Jeffrey Donovan and Vera Farminga as Detectives David Creegan and Susan Branca. As Det. David Creegan (Donovan) is searching for a suspect, he is shot point-blank in the head leaving him clincally dead for 10 minutes. After spending three years on leave, one year of which he was on psychological leave, he returns to work, with a scar to mark his ordeal, at the FBI's newly organized, OSC(Organized and Serial crime) unit. He has a new partner Susan Branca (Farminga), a new office, a new "life", but his near death experience leaves him distant from everything around him. He has trouble settling in, even with his wife and two daughters.
