Hyacinth is still trying to get a part in Emmet's play, and is running out of ideas; then Violet calls and tells Hyacinth about her continued marital turmoil. Thankfully Hyacinth has the solution: entertaining. She [Hyacinth] plans a barbecue, to which she can invite all her friends, including Emmet.

Richard, being the voice of reason, wants to get a small sedan, whereas Hyacinth . . . well Hyacinth is Hyacinth and only the best will do; and in this case, it's a Rolls Royce! On the other side of the family, Daddy wants to go out for the day: to Africa!
