TV shows such as I Love Lucy, All in the Family, Soap, Married with Children, and Sex in the City each changed the way that the world thought about television, as well as the world around them. TV Revolution explores the groundbreaking moments of these, and other, television shows that together ignited a "TV Revolution". This 5-part series shows how television influences the way the world viewed women and minorities, as well as the gradual changes with sex and violence on TV.

Through the eyes of the actors and writers, viewers are exposed to the dramatic history of television and the real life history that fueled social change, showing how television has become one of the most influential mediums to the evolution of American culture.
