This episode starts off in Meridian. Guards are reporting to Phobos, telling him about the rebel leader's (Caleb) escape. One of the guards also shows the evil prince his discovery: the shackles that were holding Caleb. He also reports that the manicle key is missing, and that Vathek was the last one to have it. The guard believes Vathek slipped it to Caleb, but Vathek protest, saying that he lost the key in the battle from the last episode. Phobos orders everyone to search for the key, saying that if it wasn't found, they would know the truth. ..
