The Mudslugs - Recap

This episode starts off in Meridian with Phobos and Elyon walking through a garden. Elyon comments on how beautiful it is but when she turns her back big vines try to grab her but Phobos stops them, Elyon didn't see a thing.

Back on earth we find Cornelia sneaking into science class a little late when Uriah tells her its dissection day. Cornelia seems grossed out but then Alchemy tells her she can do with her lab partner. Cornelia pretends Elyon is on vacation and says she's been her lab partner since 4th grade. Alchemy says she'd probably be paired with Will but Cornelia is not happy about it.

We then see that is lunch time where the other girls are talking about Elyon. Cornelia over hears them talking and gets impatient when Will tries to talk to her, Cornela says things were better before Will moved to Heatherfield. Hay lin is trying to defend Will but Cornelia gets impatient with her too. Cornelia finally says she quits and leaves.

Then we switch back to Meridian, where Phobos is wacthing the guardians through the viewing stone. Elyon comes into the room and Phobos makes it seem like the girls have forgotten all about her. Elyon runs out of the room and drops the friendship locket they gave her with a lock of each of their hair. Phobos picks it up, removes the blond lock and gives it to the mother mudslug.

Next we're back on Earth, Cornelia goes over to Alchemy's house to talk to her, and she says listening to depressing music will uplift her. Both girls settle on the bed listening to the music.

Then we go to Irma's house where Blunk, Caleb and the girls are trying to figure out a way to get Cornelia back. Chris runs in showing everyone this big slug he found in the mud, Caleb says it's a Meridian mudslug. They all leave Irma's to go find the portal. They find it in a construction site with a bunch of baby mud slugs. The mudslugs move in for the attack when Will wonders how can they find them with no eyes, Caleb asks the girls if Elyon had anything of theirs when she went to Meridian. Hay lin figures out it's the friendship locket and therefore the mud slugs can smell them. The guardians transform but they are weaker without Cornelia because of the division, they barely get away.

Later we find the girls and Caleb in the park and Irma says the mud lugs are following them underground. The girls know now they need Cornelia but they have no idea where she is. Taranee says she's probably listening to music. So they all head to her favorite radio station, k-drip. When they get there they find that no one is there because everything is pre-recorded. But Will refuses to give up, her frustrations trigger the heart, which then taps into radio frequency. Will can now send out a apologetic dedication to Cornelia. She's interrupted by Irma who tells her to meet them at the place where she learned to ride her bike (the construction site) and to be "on guard".

The girls get back to the construction site just in time to see the mother slug already there. Cornelia finally shows up on her bike. The girls transform and Cornelia is the one who saves the day by trapping the mother in a giant ring of earth that throws her back into the portal. The earth guardian comes out feeling tired, though she is now reunited by her teammates.
