When the rebels try to steal grain from Phobos' castle, they, except Caleb are captured and brought to Princess Elyon. Elyon unknowingly hypnotizes Aldarn to make him believe that the guardians have lied to the citizens of Meridian and that they are the cause for all the problems there. Elyon suggests a peace treaty with the rebels to end the dispute between Phobos and them.
On Earth, the girls are having a bake sale at their school and need to make a lot of sweets but when Caleb tells the girls about the captured rebels, they leave Blunk in charge of the baking. When the guardians and Caleb reach Meridian, they find out that Aldarn has been hypnotized by Elyon and that he wants to sign the peace treaty but he has no authority to do that since he is not the rebel leader. So he challenges Caleb for the position of leader through a series of perilous jumps ending with a fist to fist combat.
While Aldam and Caleb are battling, the girls are at the site of where the peace treaty will take place, which is a trap. The eggs surrounding them hatch into baby larveks. The girls manage to beat them and tell the other rebels that the peace treaty signing was a hoax. Aldarn
becomes free of Elyon's spell when he is dangling from a cliff. Caleb figures that since Phobos thinks that the rebels are dead, he would leave his grain mine unprotected, making it the perfect time to infiltrate.
When the rebels do not show up at the peace treaty signing, Elyon comes to the conclusion that the rebels never wanted peace at all.
