Episode Quotes
Flint: Kind of hard on the girl, aren't you?
Avery: The Major pampers her. I don't intend to.

Cullen: Anything we can do for the Major?
Avery: Yes, start digging.

Avery: (to Flint) I'm in command now. If you don't like the way I'm running things you can go back to the wagon train.

Flint: I'd leave the girl alone if I were you.
Sumter: You aren't so quit worryin'.

Avery: (about the Indians) They won't attack at night.
Flint: A lot of men have made the same mistake. They're dead now.

Flint: You know, Avery, for a man who hates Indians as much as you claim to you're in a hurry to get this treaty through.
Avery: Maybe I'm bucking for captain's bars.

Episode References
You can't expect an episode written by Aaron Spelling to have much depth to it and this one doesn't but it's still decent enough with an appearance by a pre-Rifleman Chuck Connors. Farley Granger pulls his weight in the lead guest star role opposite Robert Horton.
