The regulars don't get much screen time in this episode. Most of the load is carried by the guest stars.

This episode is based on the same original story as A Man Called Horse which aired in Season One.

Episode Quotes
Adams: Those gal darned owls give me the creeps especially this kind.
Mason: Why, is this kind different?
Adams: Yeah, this kind don't fly.

Wilcox: Lookin' for a fellow named Francis Mason.
Mason: You better show yourself, Mister, or you'll be dead before you lay eyes on him.

Wilcox: If I had my say I'd sic them Cheyenne on that whole wagon train. Might ever lift a few hair locks myself.

Wilcox: Confounded heathens. They don't act like human beings.

Flint: You need my help, Captain.
Thorp: If I do, I'll call on you.

Bull Man: (to Mason) It is a bad thing to be afraid but telling about it cleanses the heart.

Bull Moon: Your brother has the blood of a warrior.
Medicine Mark: He is stubborn. He is not yet my brother.

Wilcox: Can I tell him you called him brother?
Medicine Mark: He knows.

Episode Goofs
Nitpick: In Medicine Mark's village one of the extras playing a Cheyenne is obviously an Asian.

Nitpick: Let's hope that the wagon train was safely out of Medicine Mark's territory by the time he discovered the bodies of the two Cheyenne that Flint McCullough was forced to kill on his way to the village to rescue Francis Mason. After finding those bodies, he might not be so generous about wanting peace.
