Episode Quotes
Hale: (to Adams) I'm a man accursed. I must not inflict my cares upon you.

Hawks: (about Hale) Boy, he's a strange duck.

Hale: You don't know who I am, where I came from.
Adams: That's your business, my friend, and your problem. If there is a problem.

Mrs. Anderson: What is there if you don't believe?
Hale: For me, there is nothing.

Garrison: You don't have to be unpleasant, Major, just because you're sick.
Adams: You get sick your way and I'll get sick mine!

Hale: You're in no condition to lead a wagon train.
Adams: Then maybe I'll just let you lead it.

Adams: (to Wooster) You're a worse driver than you are a cook.

Hale: I was a minister of the gospel at one time. Now I have no God and no flock.
Adams: I don't believe that.
