George Carder states in the dialogue that he doesn't know who Daniel Boone is but in an irony of ironies his portrayer (Albert Salmi) would go onto portray the legendary frontiersman's sidekick in the first season of Daniel Boone.

Besides being a great comedian, Don Rickles was also a very good dramatic actor as proven by this episode.
