Gabe Kotter returns to Buchanan High School, where he was a member of the Sweathogs, a remedial class, and now returns to teach the newest group.

Rosalie "Hotsie" Totsie announces that she is pregnant and that one of the Sweathogs is a father-to-be.

5 :01x05 - The Election

Mr. Kotter entices Vinnie to show Sweathog pride and run against Todd Ludlow for student body president.

6 :01x06 - No More Mister Nice Guy

Mr. Woodman takes over Mr. Kotter's social studies class for a week to teach the Sweathogs about American history, and to prove that he still has what it takes to be a good teacher.

Freddie and Verna Jean announce they want to elope and get married. against their parents permission.

8 :01x08 - One of Our Sweathogs Is Missing

Juan runs away when he gets sucker punched by Todd Ludlow and feels he is no longer the toughest kid in school.

9 :01x09 - Mr. Kotter, Teacher

Mr. Kotter is brought before a review board when his methods of teaching is questioned, which leads to the Sweathogs interruption of the proceedings.

10 :01x10 - The Reunion

Gabe is fearing a reunion with a couple he despised in high school after Julie invites them for dinner.

11 :01x11 - Barbarino's Girl

When Vinnie is forced to have Judy as a tutor, romantic feelings towards her gets Vinnie hassled by the other Sweathogs.

12 :01x12 - California Dreamin'

When a new girl, Sunny, comes to the Sweathogs classroom, all the boys try to impress her to become her boyfriend. But when she makes a pass at Gabe, he reaches out to find her true story.

13 :01x13 - Arrividerci, Arnold

Arnold has been promoted to a regular classroom against his wishes to remain a Sweathog. When Mr. Kotter teaches the guys to let him move on so that he can be the best Arnold possible, his plan backfires when Arnold feels no one likes him anymore.

14 :01x14 - The Longest Weekend

When Julie leaves for a ski weekend, Gabe feels the need to cling onto the Sweathogs for companionship.

15 :01x15 - The Sit-In

Mr. Kotter suggests an old fashioned sit-in when the Sweathogs put up a protest against liver being served in the cafeteria.

16 :01x16 - Follow The Leader (1)

Vinnie runs away after the Sweathogs vote Freddie as their new leader.

Freddie, the new Sweathog leader, acts more like a dictator when he gets his first taste of power.

The Sweathogs decide to hold a telethon on a very small public access TV station in order to raise money for new school supplies.

Mr. Kotter needs to take a make-up test when it is discovered he never took one of his finals when he was a student.

Vinnie believes he must become a priest after praying for a teacher to survive after he causes him to have a heart attack.
