Jean Grey is probably one of the most powerful X-men or mutant out there. She has telekinetic powers and she can also read minds. Her powers rival those of Magneto and Professor Xavier. Jean also has a split personality (seen in X-men the last Stand.) Professor X has managed to control that side though, and she has become an asset to the X-men.
She and many other female members of the X-men formed a group called the Sirens who teamed up to fight crime, without exposing their secret identities. The group has recently disbanded.
Professor X saw the future, and he saw Jean becoming the Dark Phoenix. When that happens, he knows that there will be some losses in order to save the world from the unimaginable. Jean’s Phoenix personality can destroy anything it wishes, and it will take a lot to defeat her. She until that point, however, will fight alongside the X-men to ensure their victory in the fights that will get them to that point in time.
Jean and Scott Summers both shared some romantic feelings for each other, and the two have decided to start a relationship. |
