In the dark tournament when Hiei and Genkai were in the medical tent, Hiei was regaining his strength over time. But since he didn't fight in the previous round(against itchigaki's team), and they had some what of a break between rounds 1 and 2, why would he still be weak from using the dragon?(Besides his arm being injured, I didn't even notice anything that would show he lost power from using the attack)

I'm not sure about that wording. Not being able to use the spirit gun wasn't because he was tired, it was because of his emotions.
His power wasn't exactly restored, according to Genkai his emotions broke through the wall and he was stronger than ever now.

I hadn't seen the Dark Tournament since Cartoon Network showed it last(probably 2-3 years ago), so I have been rewatching it.

Never mind about that Hiei question, episode 45 answered it for me. But it also raises another small question. When he's fighting Momotaro and they think he's preparing to use the dragon, Kurama says Hiei only has a little over half his energy right now. He should be at about full strength by then I thought. I thought he recovered just about all of his power in the medical tent, and that was 2 days before this semi-final fight.

I noticed you don't have the 2 teams - "Spirit Warriors" and "Team Gorenja". Not a big deal but everyone else I've seen(when they are listed) have them like this -

Quote:
Spirit Warriors:
Topaz Class C
Rugby Class C-
Other Spirit Warriors Class D+/C-

Gorenja Team:
Akarenjya Class C+
Aorenjya Class C+
Midorenjya Class C+
Momorenjya Class C+
Kirenjya Class C+

I think they are wrong. I think they just make team Gorenja all C+ because they made it to the semi-finals and they make the Spirit Warriors weak just because they were eliminated early and were of little importance.

When team Gorenja were fighting their match against team Kido(sp?), Toguro told Sakyo neither team was worth his time, or even worth watching.
When the Spirit Warriors fought team Toguro, Toguro did the fighting. He even commented on their great power, and "honored them" with 45% of his power.

I never got the Gorenja strength, I assmue they have C and C+ fighters like other teams, but I think the Spirit Warriors were all C with Topaza being a C+ considering Kuwabara thought they were tough and he was C- than for sure,so for him to be impressed says they are stronger than C-

For the Hiei thing I think he was only using half his power to use Fist of the Mortal Flame and Kurama assmued he still couldn't use full power considering he was still recovering for the most part.

There's no way Hiei could have reached B- before Yusuke. I really dont see how Hiei could have reached B- by the semi-finals. He summoned the dragon in the first round to beat Zeru and basically did no fighting or training of any kind until the semi-finals.
Yusuke went all out against Chu, unlocked some of his power against Ichigaki team, and had a tough fight against Jin. Genkai even says she watched Yusuke's power steadily rise throughout the tournament. So Yusuke should have reached B- before Hiei.

Why I think Hiei is B- because I think he was training after the 3rd round to better control the dragon. I don't think Hiei or Yusuke were far from becoming B class. Why I think Hiei would reach B class first is because Kurama mentioned it Hiei six days to master the dragon. Two days before the finals I believe he trained two days before the semi-final match while I believe in those same two days Yusuke hung out with his friends and got Puu and than went to absorb the Spirit Wave orb.

Yusuke B- (Spirit Cuffs)

After Yusuke sent Toguro out of the stadium with his spirit gun, Hiei said Yusuke was stronger than he ever imagined a human could be.(that was while Yusuke still had his cuffs on).

Yusuke(cuffed) > Hiei's highest expectations > Genkai

Possible explanations:
1. bad dub line
2. small plot hole
3. Yusuke(cuffed) > Genkai(with orb)
?

Genkai C(After giving her Orb up)

Younger Toguro 60%B
Younger Toguro 80%B(stronger)
In the dub, I don't think Toguro actually said what percentage he was using before going to 80%.
But in the manga I'm pretty sure he says he was using 45%.
And Genkai was able to nearly rip his arm off with her powered up punch, which would be kind of hard to do if he was around a whole class stronger.

Hiei improved more in a week(about the length between 1st and last round) than he did in a few months of training for the Dark Tournament?

Are you sure I remeber Hiei said Yusuke was stronger than any human he could imgaine after Yusuke's hidden power awakened?

I'll change it to 45%

It's not that hard to believe Jin,Chuu,Rinku,Touya,Shishi, and Suzuki had the same training as Yusuke for the same length of time and the same level of diffculity and they jumped two classes while Yusuke only jumped like two levels. Safe to say YYH doesn't really have a clear line of how fast you can gain power. Koenma said that Hiei was a B by the end of the tournament I just think if he meant by the end of his match he would have told us Hiei's current class and level instead of giving us by the end of the tournament line. If the manga says different than I'll change it

Episode 61: Yusuke vs. Toguro
Hiei - "Yusuke is much stronger now than I ever imagined a human could be."
