Zorro and Son is a short-lived attempt by the Walt Diseny Company to return Zorro to tv in a live-action format, this time as a comedy. Zorro (Don Diego) was played by Henry Darrow who had earlier provided the voice of Zorro in a 1981 animated version. The new series used most of the same costumes and sets as the original 1957-1961 Zorro series.
The need for Zorro has returned, but Don Diego De La Vega has grown a little too old in the twenty-five years between adventures, so Don Diego decides to turn over the job to his son, Don Carlos. They haven't talked in a while, and Don Carlos (Paul Regina) is reluctant.
