Many of the finalists had tried out for the Pop Idol series.

Chloe, Aimee, Lynsey and Emma formed the group Clea after being eliminated.

Mikey, Chris, Pete, Andrew and Nikk formed the group Phix after being eliminated.

Pete's revelation that he was too old for the competition on one of the live shows came as a complete shock to both host Davina and the producers.
