I used to just love this show! Like Judy Benjamin (Lorna Patterson) says in the beginning, the Army isn't perfect. Same goes for the show.

But at the time, this show provided just the comic relief my brother and I were looking for in the early evening, weekdays.

The acting was good for the mostpart and the directing was decent also as was the writing.
Looking back, I think they could have determined why their ratings must've been falling and kept the show on the air for a few more seasons. Too bad in reality it only lasted for a few seasons.

Each year, I check to see if Private Benjamin (the tv series) has been made available on DVD. I know I would buy all 3 seasons in a heartbeat and I'm sure others would too.
