A tale from an earlier point in Mr. Botibol's life. He sells his business for ÂĢ200,000, a fortune enough to keep him comfortable - except that he has never succeeded at anything. When he notes how many composers had names that begin with 'B' he daydreams about being one of them himself, eventually adding a music hall to his home. In a music store, while acquiring tapes to which he may conduct an imaginary orchestra, he meets Irene Wrzaszcyzk, also a music lover. They hit it off and eventually Botibol conducts Irene on piano. But then he learns something about her that destroys his happiness...
