Brass is the British comedy that shows the lives and loves of two northern families at opposite ends of the social spectrum in the 1930’s. One is the Hardacres: wealthy, powerful, living in the big house at the top of the hill. They looking down on everybody else, and try to control the fictitious town of Utterly. The other is the Fairchilds: employed by the Hardacres, they live in a tiny tract house down at the bottom of the hill. Despite the differences in class and wealth, however, plenty of sexual intermingling takes place.
