Koukaku Kidoutai: Stand Alone Complex

Koukaku Kidoutai: Stand Alone Complex

With the introduction of the cyberbrain to society, a new way of exploiting the masses has arisen in the criminal element. In the year 2030, people are more susceptible than ever to manipulation by outside parties. Only now, the victims don't even have to see their attackers to be preyed upon. With the almost common use of cyberbrains and cybernetic implants in society, the underworld can pick and choose who to take for all their worth. In order to keep these criminals at bay, an offensive unit was needed. That unit is Public Security Section 9. Created by Aramaki Daisuke through his strong connections with those in high places, the unit has some of the most powerful minds and bodies in all of Japan. Controlling the operations in the field is Major Kusanagi Motoko, one of the most adept cybernetic users on the planet. With the Major and her team on the job, criminals don't stand a chance.
