The Dick Emery Show was a sketch series shown on BBC television in the United Kingdom. The characters played by Dick Emery included Mandy, Clarence and Lampwick. The series remained a ratings success for the best part of 20 years.
The character of Mandy is famous for creating the famous catchphrase of 'Ooh, you are awful, but I like you.' The success of the show led to a feature film being made in 1972, with Dick Emery playing many of his most popular characters in the film.
