The show was a comedy series which aired on the ITV network in the United Kingdom. When the 12th Earl of Clogborough dies suddenly he leaves no heirs. Clifford Basket ends up inheriting the title and moves into the old earl's home with his mother. Redvers Bodkin who worked for the earl doesn't approve of his new master.
