Private Schulz was written by Jack Pulman and aired on BBC1 in the United Kingdm. Gerhard Schulz is serving time in Spandau prison when world war two breaks out and he finds himself suddenly released. After a mix up he finds himself in the secret service intelligence unit. The series aired in the United States as an installment of the long-running PBS anthology series Masterpiece Theatre.
