A Soft Touch is a short one series, five episode, comedy series that aired on ITV in the UK in 1978 and starred Maureen Lipman as Alison Holmes and John Flanagan as Jack Holmes. Alison and Jack Holmes are a married couple with something of an opposites attract vibe. Alison is a smart attractive woman who desires to get ahead in life through hard work. Jack also wants to get ahead, but through a series of get-rick-quick-schemes. Alison tries to slow down Jack's expenditure of funds on such money-losing schemes.
