The year is 2275. Earth has more or less successfully colonized the entire solar system, but things are dangerous and final out on the frontiers of space. As the colonies continuously push further and further out from Earth, lawlessness and crime expand right along. Bounty Hunter (aka Starhunter) Dante Montana along with his niece Percy, his mysterious munitions expert Lucrectia and their holographic AI, Caravaggio, take the aging Tulip in pursuit of dangerous interplanetary criminals... and also in search of Dante's son, Travis, who was kidnapped as a baby by the Raiders.
In the 23rd century, humanity has spread to the stars and planets in Earth's solar system. Civilization is a patchwork of hundred worlds, most with weak governments and weaker laws. It is a golden age for criminal bounty-hunters who exploit this lawlessness and use the incredible technology of the future to prey on others. A former luxury space liner, the Tulip, is now a bounty-hunter vessel commanded by Travis who searches the galaxy in search of his father. He's joined on his quest by cosmic hunter Rudolpho, holographic AI system Carravagio, sexy special services officer Callista, rebellious engineer Percy and bad boy Marcus. Now the fight for justice is set among the stars...and the showdown is about to begin.
Unfortunately, due to production company problems, the third season was never produced and we are left with a cliff-hanger finale.
The first season was produced in Minto, Nova Scotia, airing first on The Movie Network and the second in Mississauga, Ontario, airing on SPACE.
The opening comment by Michael Paré is: “I’m a bounty hunter. But it’s just something that I do. I’m really looking for something that was stolen from me. Ten years ago… they took my son. As I search… there are signs something is happening. That humanity is about to change. But I won’t be distracted. How do you find one small boy in a lawless universe? I’m not sure. But I have to keep trying.”
