Cody's van "Lucille" dies in this episode.

Episode Quotes
(Cody and Brendan are sitting Cody's things up on the ground in the back yard)
Cody: Check out this bed. (Brendan and Cody start jumping on the mattress) Yeah buddy, I couldn't jump this high in the van. Well I could but it'd really hurt.

Karen: Dana, Dana, you still wanna believe that guys are interested in a girls mind. Well I've never heard one single guy say, hey look at the brains on that girl.
JT: And you probably never will.

(Dana and Karen arrive at the mission)
Karen: WOW, look at this place, there's so many people. What should we do first? Mingle?
Dana: Karen it's a soup kitchen not a cocktail party.

(Karen and Dana arrive home from the mission; Al watching from the steps)
Karen: You did this to make me look like a fool.
Dana: You don't need my help for that.
(Carol walks into the room)
Carol: Hey, come on you guys, what is going on here?
Al: Chick fight!
Carol: Al. (points to go upstairs)
Al: I was just trying to help.
Karen: Mother wait till you here what Dana did to me. You're gonna be so mad. I worked at this mission place so I could get this cute guy to ask me out, but Dana knew he had a girlfriend and never told me. Sooo, thanks to her, I wasted an entire day.
(Dana smiles smugly)
Dana: Go ahead Mom, let me have it.
Carol: Let me get this straight, Karen. You're upset because you spent an entire helping people and you didn't get anything out of it?
Karen: Exactly.
Dana: (in a southern accent) I'll be upstairs waitin for my whoopin'.

Episode Goofs
One of Karen's airhead friends calls Carol, Mrs. Foster, several times in this episode (and it's probably happened before) but shouldn't Carol be going by Lambert or Foster-Lambert? And even if she is going by the name she had before her marriage to Frank, why would she keep her EX-husbands last name?

Cultural References
Free Willy: Mark and JT head to the movies and Mark figures that he'll just see this movie and see what happens. The movie is actually a Disney film that had two sequels about a giant killer whale named Willy.

Pete Rose: Al references the all-time baseball hit king when asking Carol to cut her bangs like him.

Mother Teresa: Dana references the world famous nun when talking about Karen's work at the mission.

Lucille: Cody sings part of the song when mourning the loss of his van, Lucille. The song is actually a hit song from 1977 performed by then country hit maker, Kenny Rogers.
