Cody's father (and Frank's brother), Richard, arrives with a surprise for his son, he's naming Cody the new Senior Vice President of Lambert Co. A job that Cody is hesistant to take and soon comes to hate. That thought is not easy for his father to accept.
Meanwhile, Carol once again wiggles her way with Dana and Karen and forces them to go out with the sons of one of her clients. But when the boys turned out to be morons, Carol must finally pay.
(Cody talking about his fathers arrival)
Cody: Oh man, I can't wait till he gets here. He said he's gonna bring me an early birthday present that's gonna change my life. I hope it's a battery for my watch. You know it's been 10:58 since last August.
Richard: Cody have you given any thought to moving into a real place, with a kitchen and a bathroom?
Cody: You mean like a Winnebago?
Richard: Like an apartment.
Cody: See, to me, if you can't rotate the tires and give it a lube job it's just not home.
(Cody arrives in the board room of LambCo.)
Cody: Dad, dude. You're not gonna believe this. There's this chick down at the front desk giving away free coffee and donuts. Come on everybody follow me. Come on!
(Dana and Karen wait on their dates and find out Carol is already gone)
Dana: Sure, she just wanted to get out of here because those guys she set us up with are losers.
JT: Oh, don't worry, once they get a look at you two they'll go screaming into the night.
Dana: Yeah, like they're lining up to go out with you, Fabio.
Frank: How was the dance?
Mark: Fantastic. I spent the whole night out on the dance floor shaking my groove thang. Next time I'm gonna ask a girl to join me.
Tom Cruise and Luke Perry: Both of the famous actors were referenced by Frank when talking about what the guys Dana and Karen were going on dates with could look like. Perry is a former vet of Beverly Hills, 90210 and Cruise is the star of numerous big budget films.
Boris Yeltsin: Cody says the best part of his job to is he gets to email the former President of the U.S.S.R.
Beavis & Butthead: Dana and Karen's dates turn out to be live-action clones of the spaced out former MTV stars.
