Step by Step: Take This Job and ...

JT is desperate for a job and quickly talks his girlfriend into hiring him when he hears the garage needs help. Though she is at first reluctant, Sam agrees. And as can be expected it turns out that JT is not exactly coordinated around the garage and it soon causes tension between the two.

Meanwhile, an outstanding debt lands Frank a boat as payment. One that he soon becomes Carol-esque obsessed with.

Episode Quotes
Sam: What we're going to do on this car is adjust the carburetor.
JT: That sounds pretty complicated. What do we have to do? Turn the crank case? Overhaul the tranny? Drop the engine?
Sam: No, turn this little screw.
JT: Any idiot can do that.
Sam: We're about to find out.

(Sam opens the car trunk to find JT inside)
Dana: Man I thought I was a goner. I haven't been that out of breath since you lost your bikini top at that water slide.

Dana: (to JT) You're broke again? What happened to your job at the lumber yard?
JT: Let's just say those forklifts are a lot trickier to operate than they look.
Rich: Dude that is the fourth job you've lost this month.
JT: Third, you can't count that incident at the zoo. Who knew monkey's couldn't chew gum.

Episode Goofs
JT could not have been stuck in the trunk for long if he had any brains. He could have simply pulled the release inside the trunk to open it or kicked down the backseat and simply rolled out of the trunk.
