A woman, Natalie Davis, is at home barricading the doors and windows. She glances nervously at the grandfather clock, which shows the time approaching midnight, and then calls her sister-in-law Virginia. Natalie asks if Michael has been there and Virginia says that he hasn't been in since the last time Natalie called. She tells Virginia that there isn't much time left and asks Virginia to apologize to Michael for her. Virginia promises to tell Michael when she sees him and asks if there's anything she can do, and Natalie tells her that there isn't. ..
