Western that aired on NBC from 1957-62 and starred Dale Robertson as Wells Fargo special agent Jim Hardie. The show ran for 30 minutes in black and white during its first four seasons on the air but expanded to 60 minutes in color for its fifth and final season in 1961-62.

This was a very intellegent western. The plots and story lines were pretty good. I watched it without fail when it was on. The hero was a real Duddly Doright type but well acted. He was also left handed, a feature that sticks with me to this day. Only a half-step below Have Gun Will Travel for quality of the acting and the plots. One of those westerns where some shooting took place but a more reasoned approach was always used first. Read more
