The Edge

"The Edge" was a half hour comedy/animation sketch by Fox created by David Mirkin. The show starred rising stars such as Wayne Knight, Jennifer Aniston, Jill Talley, Julie Brown, Tom Kenny, Carol Rosenthal, James Stephens III. "The Edge" made fun of celebrities, had over the top animation, poked fun at fads and had political satire as well. Despite the impressive list of stars including Aniston and Knight, "The Edge" only lasted one season on Fox.

1x3: 103 recap: The cast is killed of by arrows. A Bill Plympton cartoon is shown then in one of the longer skits in the show, the cast would do a parody of “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition”. Aniston would play a Model “M” whose an airhead. Kim Walker would play the model “Misty” whose afraid of everything. 1x1: 101 recap: In the pilot the case welcomes the audiences to the show but as would be the usual gag for the show where the cast would die on the set, the cast members are killed off when the set falls on them. A cartoon by Bill Plympton is shown. In the first skit, Jennifer Aniston plays a girl trying to get the attention of a man using a special shoe pump. The next skit would be the first ‘right this minute” jokes this time involving Michael Dukakis, Liberace, and “Armed Family”. The next joke would be on a Mariah Carey video. Aniston and Brown would then play the girlfriends of a couple of rockers. The next joke would be a parody of Cops called “The Exterminators”. In the next segment, a network executive would introduce the “Instacom” remote, in which the audiences displays their dislike for a show by shocking the actors involved.
