Central City is suffering from a major heat wave with no relief in sight. At the St. Diogenes Social Club, several local mobsters have gathered: Johnny Choi, Nikolai Brown, Ray McGill, and Luis Vega. While they wait for a repairman to arrive and fix their air conditioner, they discuss what to do about newcomer Jimmy Swain, a mobster who plans to take over all of the underworld operations in the city. They agree to unite long enough to kill Swain. The repairman, an albino, arrives and they draw their guns, and cautiously let him in...

Episode Quotes
Luis Vega: Air conditioning's on the fritz. Make it cool in here.
Captain Cold: (disguised as a repairman) Oh, don't you worry about a thing. Cool is my specialty.

Terri Kronenberg: All right, look. About the other night. I acted like a jerk. Well, I mean not so much a jerk as much as I was just pushy. All right, no, actually, to tell you the truth, I was a jerk. You know, but it's my job. It's just, I take it very seriously and it makes me a little aggressive sometimes. And I know that it's a problem and I've been working on it. I'm actually a lot better. You should have seen me before. Woo. It's a trait, it runs in my family, you know? So, what I'm trying to say here is that I'm sorry, okay?
Barry: Do you ever breathe?
Terri Kronenberg: Yeah, that's another thing, I talk a lot.
Barry: Oh, really? I hadn't noticed.

Tina: So, uh, you're a reporter. That must be interesting.
Terri Kronenberg: You're a scientist. That must be dull.

Captain Cold: Yeah, I knew if I raced you all over town, you'd run out of steam. You look pretty hot. I think I'd better cool you off.

Captain Cold: Oh, boy, you got some pretty good moves there, Red. But you know what? Even you can't outrun the cold hand of death.

Flash: Get these cuffs off of me.
Terri: No way, pal. Not till I get my interview.
Flash: Are you going to give me the key, or do I have to search you?
Terri: Well, that sounds like fun, but I don't have it on me. I hid it somewhere in the city limits, so you can either give me my interview, or, uh, we can search the city.
Captain Cold: (stepping in) I've got a better option. Hypothermia.

Captain Cold: What's a matter? Don't you want to come out and play? I'm here to take you to the Icecapades. I'll huff and I'll puff, and I'll freeze all your stuff!

Garfield: Okay, somebody call the coroner to pick this guy up before he melts. On the other hand, may be better to call the Good Humor Man. Heh.

Episode Goofs
Terri handcuffs herself to the Flash. However, when Captain Cold causes them to slide out of control, there's a shot of her standing and she's no longer handcuffed to the hero. In the next shot, she unlocks the handcuffs and frees herself.
