The Inbetweeners (US)

Classification: Scripted.
Yes that seems about right, the actors are so woefully terrible that it's impossible to forget that they are reading from a (badly written) script.

Genre: Comedy.
'F**king awful re-make of a brilliant British show' would be more apt. Although this genre is so large it would probably have to be split into a few sub genres, in this case The Inbetweeners (US) would fit nicely into 'REALLY f**king awful re-make of a brilliant British show'.

Status: New Series.
Very soon to be a scrapped new series.

Airs: Mondays at 10:30pm
Here's a tip, at 10:30 unplug all the TVs in your house and sit in silence for 30 minutes. Trust me, you don't want to risk watching another channel and accidentally changing over to MTV. If you do you'll probably end up clawing your eyes out, and as you probably already know, eyes are useful. For instance you can use them to watch good TV shows, like The Inbetweeners UK. As an added bonus, those of you who voted for George W Bush in 2000 and 2004 can use the 30 minutes to reflect on what you did.

Runtime: 30 Minutes.
Way way way way way way way too long.

Premiere: August 20, 2012. (a.k.a 20th of August, 2012)
It's not even out yet. So do you know what that means? Yes, I managed to write this entire review after only watching the 3 minute trailer. That's how bad it is.

I'm not at all surprised these Euros don't like the show. However, they're uptight and wrong. Show is great. Enjoy your version as you so seem to, and ignore this one. If you're American and young, or just young at heart, you'll enjoy this very much.

Yeah, pretty woeful!Rating: 1 likes, 2 dislikes
For this first episode they've basically followed the plots from the first couple of episodes of the UK original. They've managed to compress a couple of episodes into one by removing the swearing, vulgarity and all the edgy stuff that made it so good. (They even bleeped a couple of very innocuous words). In doing so they've also managed to excise all the humour! Worse still, the acting and casting was cringingly bad, particularly Pearlman playing Jay... yikes! I had to watch the UK series 1 immediately after this to take away the bad taste. Why bother remaking another show if the best aspects of the original are discarded?! My advice is scrap this entirely and watch the UK version. It's crude, rude, perfectly cast, masterfully written, brilliantly acted and best of all, completely and utterly hilarious.
